What do you do to quiet the negative thoughts in your head? Having chronic pain, a disease, or disorder can cause negative thoughts and depression. I have to be very intentional to get out of my own head. One thing that helps me is making things with my hands. It makes me concentrate on something else and that helps my mental state. I also have taken online classes and on campus classes. It’s fun to be productive. If you don’t know what you should try, write a list of things that you like to do. Then just start…try something and that might lead to something else.
